25 Mar What is ” U” value?(thermal transmittance,heat transfer coefficient)
U value is known as thermal transmittance or heat transfer coefficient. In all industries this value is so important. In the field of construction also engineers are looking for best u values for their construction projects.all materials are used in the projecs must have lower u value and higher insulation value. So that you need to select proper raw materials for your doors and windows.upvc materials have good u values when it is compared to aliminium .Acording to profile series that you use to make your doors and windows you can have different u values.if you use 60 mm upvc profiles you can have Uf 1,5 -1,7 W/m2K ,70 mm upvc profile 1,1-1,3 W/m2K ,82 mm upvc 0,9-1,00W/m2K.
These values are uf (u frame)values. In order to have low Uw (u window) values you can select double or triple glass ,colored, laminated or uv glass so you can reduce uw values and have better insulation values.
